MAN VS SNAKE – E45 OF “THE HIGH REGARD SHOW”
In Episode 45 of the “High Regard Show,” “Man vs. Snake,” we chat with Andrew Seklir and Tim Kinzy, the filmmakers behind the documentary “Man vs Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler,” which thankfully for Nikki’s ophidiophobia has to do with the arcade game “Nibbler” and not a real s-word.
The film tells the story of Tim McVey (notice it’s spelled different than the OKC bomber), who with one quarter became the first person to score more than 1 billion points on an arcade game as he played more than 44 hours straight. Fast-forward 25 years to when he needs to decide whether to defend his record — which garnered him a day named after himself — or become a footnote in competitive gaming history.
We also learn which games Tom and Nikki fancy themselves record-breakers on and oh so much more!
